Infertility Homeopathic Treatment, Homeopathy Medicine, Mumbai

Homeopathy: Complementing your Infertility treatment...

It is estimated that approximately 15-20% of couples face some form of difficulty in conceiving. Medically, if you are unable to conceive after trying correctly for a year, you should consider getting yourselves evaluated for the many causes of infertility.

For those willing to try alternative methods and therapies, I would like to say that homeopathy is definitely something that should be initiated as our centres have successfully helped couples over the past 25 years.

I would also like to say that before you start homeopathy do consider ruling out the common causes of infertility as more than often simple tests and corrective measures can further improve the chances of conception. A homeopath well versed in treating such cases or your Gynecologist can recommend these tests.

The success of homeopathy depends on the causes of infertility and the outcome is as mentioned below:

Female Conditions: Most common causes.

PCOD or Polycystic Ovarian Disease

What is it?

PCOD is a condition where multiple, small cysts develop in the ovaries causing faulty ovulation, irregular menses, weight-gain, acne and hirsuitism (abnormal hair growth). A person with PCOD is usually started on fertility drugs which may or may not help in conception.

Our Homeopathic Experience:

PCOD can be wonderfully dealt with using homeopathic medicines. The severity and periodicity of cyst formation can be reversed significantly assisting ovulation. The medicines also help in stopping the excessive hair growth and help in better weight management, evident from the numerous cases treated here. If you suffer from PCOD please do consider homeopathy either as your primary line of treatment or in conjunction with the medicines you are already taking.

Endometriosis

What is it?

In this condition the internal lining of the uterus which sheds during the menstrual cycle grows in places other than the uterus causing blockage of the tubes, improper ovulation, miscarriages, painful and heavy periods. Laparoscopic surgery is usually needed to unblock tubes and deposits of the tissue impeding ovulation and conception.

Our Homeopathic Experience:

Homeopathy can be useful here too and administration of a carefully selected constitutional, homeopathic remedy can help in preventing or slowing down this process. Sometimes, the uterine lining can get deposited in the ovaries causing cysts, cases of which have been successfully treated at our centres.

Hormonal causes leading to ovulation problems

What is it?

Ovulation is controlled by numerous hormones and any abnormality in their levels can lead to ovulation disturbances as well as absent or irregular periods and heavy or excessively light periods. Ovulation drugs followed by IVF are the first choice of treatment here. However, even after using these drugs and promoting ovulation, less than half actually go on to conceive successfully.

Our Homeopathic Experience:

There are numerous factors besides ovulation which need to be corrected and more than often doctors fail to ascertain the precise cause of conception failures even after ovulation is initiated. Homeopathy can be used in conjunction with the usual therapies to improve the chances or conception.

Blocked Fallopian tubes

What is it?

Eggs from the ovary pass through the fallopian tubes into the uterus. A blocked or damaged tube needs to be opened surgically. However, surgery leads to scar formation and drastically lowers the chances of conception. Also, those with blocked tubes may also suffer from infection and inflammation leading to this blockage.

Our Homeopathic Experience:

Homeopathy cannot be used to reopen previously blocked or scarred tubes and needs to be done surgically. However, homeopathy can definitely help in minimizing scar formation after surgery as well as control the infection. If you have normal ovulation and a patent tube on one side you may start homeopathy to improve your chances of conception as well.

Male conditions: Most common causes

Sperm problems

Low sperm counts, abnormal shapes and poor motility usually cause the male side of fertility problems. Fertility drugs and artificial insemination can be opted for. The rate of success of these conventional measures is usually below 25%.

Homeopathic scope:

You should definitely opt for homeopathy for problems associated with the quality of sperms as there are some very effective remedies which positively alter the quantity, quality and motility of the sperms and have been documented at our centres.

Sperm Allergy

There is a possibility that both men and women could develop antibodies which could damage the sperm. Women may experience burning and stinging pains (similar to an allergic skin reaction) after intercourse in the vaginal vault. The symptoms may be confused with candidiasis or herpes.

Homeopathic scope:

Homeopathy works wonders in all forms of allergy and semen allergy is definitely no exception. Anyone suspecting sperm allergy should immediately opt for homeopathy as it helps in stabilizing the immune system making one resistant to the allergen, which in this case is the semen itself.

Male blocked tubes

Varicoceles or varicose veins in the testicles and any obstruction in the tubes which transport the sperms can lead to male infertility. Surgery is the first choice here and should be opted for.

Homeopathic scope:

Homeopathy can be used post surgery as it can help in the healing process and in minimizing scar formation.

Unexplained fertility issues

Approximately 20- 25 % of couples who undergo all the requisite medical tests to rule out infertility fall in this category. There is no obvious cause detected and are prescribed ovulation drugs and recommended timed conception. The problem is that conception is not limited to the few causes as discussed above and involves numerous biochemical events which need to happen flawlessly for a perfect pregnancy. Also, as age advances (above 35 years) the biochemical mechanism governing ovulation and fertilization can get restricted and couples may find it much more difficult conceiving after this age.

Homeopathic scope:

More than 60% of infertility cases seen at our centres fall in the above category as most are left with no choice but to pray, try and opt for some alternative measure such as homeopathy. Homeopathy is strongly recommended in all such cases as the medicines work constitutionally and holistically and improve the reproductive functions and general wellbeing in both males and females.

Do take advantage of our experience in dealing with Infertility using Homeopathy, as you never know, you may end up conceiving even after years of trying and frustration, just as so many patients have in the past 25 years.

Dear Dr. Anish. Happended to browse your site and wanted to leave a thankyou note. If you remember I was a patient of yours who underwent your treatment for conceiving as we could not even after trying for over 9 years. You gave me hope and asked some tests after which you sent my medicines with my father to the USA in 2007. I am sorry to have not followed up with you simply because I conceived and had a beautiful daughter soon after or probably 6 months after your treatment. We are so grateful and blessed to have found you and sincerely thank you for your help. Will make it a point to meet you in March when I visit India. Till then...Mrs. R.Das - Malad Patient. Sorry I have forgotten my reference number.

Thanks so much about this article. You've tried so much to unveil the causes of infertility in one post.

However, one area that many sufferers will want answers is that unexplained infertility. If approximately 20- 25 % fall in this category how come infertility doctors have not been able to give an explanation to these causes. I personally believe that this is one area where we should do some more work.
